I got into web design through a simple door: a friend's uncle who runs an excavation company needed a website. He'd been in business for years but had zero digital presence. No site, no clear place to send customers, and no foundation for showing up in local search.
I built him a full custom website from scratch. Video hero, scroll animations, contact form, full SEO setup. The project showed how much stronger a trades business looks when customers can actually find and trust it online.
That project showed me two things: trades businesses desperately need quality websites, and many are stuck choosing between cheap template shops and big agencies that do not understand the trade.
